The unconscious mind has a major impact on food and eating habits. This is something which a diet based on will power does not take into account. Unconscious patterns which have developed over time can take over the logical part of the mind and this is one major reason why merely restricting food does not work in the long term when trying to lose weight.

With the use of hypnotherapy we can speak directly to the unconscious mind and the part of your mind which creates cravings, allowing you to act in the way you would like to act when being around food. Hypnotherapy works with your instincts and therefore you can lose weight easily in a healthy and natural way without really having to think about it.

Research shows that hypnosis allows for a greater increase in weight loss and for maintainence of that weight loss:

Two groups of people were split into weight management programmes of nine weeks duration. One group had the addition of hypnosis to their programme and one group did not. At eight month and two year follow ups the group which had the addition of hypnosis to their programme showed significant additional weight loss whilst those in the group which did not have the addition of hypnosis to their programme exhibited little further change. More of the subjects who had the benefit of hypnosis achieved and maintained their personal weight goals.

In a study of hypnosis for weight loss for 60 females separated into a hypnosis group and a non-hypnosis group, the hypnosis group lost an average of 17 pounds whereas the non-hypnosis group lost an average of only 0.5 pounds.
(Cochrane, Gordon; Friesen, J. Hypnotherapy in weight loss treatment. Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 54, 489-492, 1986).

Comparing the results of adding hypnosis to weight loss treatment across multiple studies showed that adding hypnosis increased weight loss by an average of 97% during treatment, and even more importantly increased the effectiveness POST TREATMENT by over 146%.
